Sun Seed Sangha of Southwest Louisiana offers an online Sangha gathering using Zoom on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 3PM CST. Inspired by the teachings of Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, we join in a shorter form of practice before crossing the river into Dharma Share Group.
Sun Seed Sangha welcomes anyone interested in applying Buddhist teachings and principles in the supportive group environment of the Sangha. One need not be a Buddhist, nor leave the roots of their personal faith, to benefit from Buddhist teachings and practices.
Share Group provides a space that cultivates active listening, while using our speech to reveal, open, encourage, teach, and heal. It offers an opportunity to receive insight and experience equanimity in a group environment.
Our Sangha, through Dharma Share Group and other activities, actively sows the seeds of compassion, gentleness, kindness, mindfulness, and peace.

This introduction to Dharma Sharing by Brother Peace of the Plum Village tradition is an excellent way to prepare yourself before participation. We ask that all participants be appropriate in language, tone, and interactions. We also ask that each participant refrain from the using discriminatory language, rude, threatening, or demeaning language or tone, profanity, or verbal harassment.
ABOUT DHARMA SHARING (from the Plum Village app)
Dharma sharing is an opportunity to benefit from each other’s insights and experience of the practice. It is a special time for us to share our experiences, our joys, our difficulties and our questions relating to the practice of mindfulness. By practicing deep listening while others are speaking, we help create a calm and receptive environment. By learning to speak out about our happiness and our difficulties in the practice, we contribute to the collective insight and understanding of the Sangha. READ MORE >>
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR NEWCOMERS
There are no fees required for participation—this is a free Sangha. All that is required is your presence and willingness to gather in peace.
